At Kamala Niketan - IB PYP, we believe that teachers are lifelong learners and play a central role in shaping globally minded, future-ready students. The Professional Learning Department at KN - IB PYP is committed to supporting the continuous growth and development of every faculty member, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, values, and mindset needed to deliver the IB Primary Years Programme effectively.
Through carefully designed in-house and external training programs, our teachers are guided to align their practices with the IB philosophy and standards. This includes fostering innovation, reflective practice, and student-centered pedagogy. By investing in teacher growth, KN - IB PYP ensures that learning experiences are meaningful, engaging, and globally relevant.
Training Programs at KNMS
- In-house Trainings: Led by PYPC and experienced educators, these sessions focus on IB pedagogy, inquiry-based strategies, assessment for learning, and reflective teaching practices.
- External Trainings: Teachers regularly participate in IB workshops led by certified IBO trainers and other international education experts, keeping them connected to the best global practices in PYP.
- Collaborative Learning: Professional learning communities, peer observations, and sharing circles allow teachers to learn from one another, innovate in their classrooms, and grow as reflective practitioners.
Together, these opportunities empower KN - IB PYP facilitators to not only deliver the PYP framework with excellence but also to model the spirit of lifelong learning for their students.
