CBSE Evaluation & Assessment

Assessment at our school is continuous, comprehensive, and designed to support student growth in every dimension – intellectual, emotional, physical, cultural, and social. We follow CBSE’s guidelines to maintain fairness and uniformity across grades.

Primary Grades (I–V)

We follow Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) in the primary years. Students are assessed through projects, discussions, skill-based activities, and observations to ensure holistic development.

Classes VI–VIII

The academic year is divided into two terms. Each term concludes with an examination based on the syllabus covered, with Term 2 including some questions from Term 1 to encourage retention. Periodic tests, notebook work, and enrichment activities add to the overall assessment.

Classes IX–X

Students appear for a single annual examination at the end of the year, following the CBSE Uniform Assessment guidelines. Written examinations carry 80% weightage, with the remaining 20% distributed across periodic tests (10 marks), notebook submission (5 marks), and subject enrichment activities (5 marks).

Parameters of Assessment

  • Scholastic: Marks and grades for each subject.
  • Co-scholastic: Graded on Work Education, Art, Health and Physical Education.
  • Discipline: Attendance, sincerity, behaviour, and values are included as part of overall development.
